Thomson/Micron AquaTRUE™ IP69K gearheads


Thomson Micron introduces our new AquaTRUE™ gearhead design to meet the strict requirements of harsh environmental applications; such as, food and beverage handling, and packaging and dispensing. The AquaTRUE's IP66/IP67 and IP69K protection is able to handle caustic cleaning chemicals as well as high pressure washdown. This eliminates the cost of additional components such as enclosers, shielding, or mechanical transmissions. The 304 stainless steel housing eliminates the concern for rust or any type of corrosion. A laser etched permanent product label and a smooth, round external housing that is designed without any external seams or corners for bacteria to collect.

A wide variety of motion control applications require brakes and clutches for holding, stopping, indexing, or releasing a mechanical load.  

Wrap spring or electromagnetic friction clutches and brakes are the optimal choice for the vast majority of cases.  Clutches and brakes are selected to match dynamic and static characteristics including torque, speed, accuracy and other specifications.

Micron MOTIONEERING® is a complete web-based sizing, selection, and pricing application tool for Thomson's wide variety of gearhead products.  Two simple modes of operation make selection easy to perform.  After selecting a primary configuration for mounting and ratio, simply enter your application requirements for torque, speed, and load.  More advanced capabilities of motion profile and radial/axial force calculations can be performed.  Choose from a wide assortment of pre-configured motors or enter your own custom motor dimensions.  Program outputs include 3D model downloads, list prices, delivery times, and ordering information.
